Workshops and Inclusive Resources for Early Childhood Educators
Our Mission is to empower Early Childhood Educators to create inclusive and supportive programs for neurodivergent children. Drawing from personal experiences and a deep understanding of neurodivergence, we provide tailored resources and workshops that bridge the gap in knowledge and understanding. We dedicate ourselves to amplifying the voices of neurodivergent children and their families, advocating for their needs in Early Childhood settings and better equipping educators to support and respond to families' advocacy. Together we strive to enhance learning experiences and foster nurturing environments where child can thrive.
I’m a neurodivergent early childhood professional dedicated to helping early childhood centres and educators create inclusive and supportive programs for neurodivergent children. My journey into understanding neurodivergence began when my younger brother was three years old. During my early childhood training, I learned about “red flags” and realised he wasn't meeting certain language milestones. I encouraged my mother to discuss this with his paediatrician, which led to him being diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, hyper-mobility disorder, and a severe speech delay.
Because of his “uncommon” traits associated with ASD, we had to advocate for and educate the professionals involved in his care. This experience ignited my passion for enhancing learning experiences for neurodivergent children. Eventually, I founded my own business that offers a range of developmental supports while ensuring the voices of neurodivergent children and their families are heard. As I explore my own neurodivergence and return to the early childhood sector, I noticed a significant gap in educators’ understanding of neurodivergence and the vital role they play in early childhood intervention.
My goal is to empower and equip educators with the knowledge and skills they need to provide essential support, ensuring that neurodivergent children have a positive and empowering start to their early learning journeys. From my experience as an early childhood educator and teacher to working with neurodivergent children on their homeschooling journeys and creating an inclusive curriculum for Prep to Year 2, I recognise the considerable gap in early childhood professionals' knowledge regarding support for neurodivergent children in their early intervention journeys. Despite the wide range of knowledge in developmental areas, many educators still lack the confidence and skills to provide the quality support necessary for neurodivergent children’s early learning experiences.
