Inclusive Early Learning was created to empower early childhood educators with the tools, confidence, and understanding to support every child—especially those whose needs are not always immediately visible.
Through professional workshops, neuro-affirming resources, and lived-experience insight, we help educators create learning environments that are inclusive, responsive, and built on relationships.
Whether you’re just beginning your journey or deepening your inclusive practice, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
I’m Annissa, a neurodivergent early childhood professional dedicated to helping educators and early learning centres create inclusive, supportive programs for neurodivergent children.
My journey into understanding neurodivergence began during my early childhood education training, when I started noticing that my younger brother wasn’t meeting expected language milestones. At just two years old, we sought professional advice—but his needs were repeatedly dismissed. It wasn’t until he was seven years old that he finally received a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD, hypermobility disorder, and a severe speech delay—from a professional who specialised in recognising masking and less typical presentations.
Because his traits didn’t align with outdated or narrow ideas of autism, we had to advocate fiercely. We found ourselves educating the very professionals who were meant to support him. That experience shaped everything I do today—it taught me how easy it is for children to be missed, and how important it is for educators to know what to look for beneath the surface.
As I explored my own neurodivergence and returned to the early childhood sector, I recognised a clear gap. While educators are trained in developmental theory, many still lack the confidence or knowledge to support neurodivergent children—especially those who mask, fly under the radar, or don’t present “typically.”
Over the years, I’ve worked across early childhood centres, supported families through homeschooling, and created inclusive curricula for Prep to Year 2. My work is grounded in lived experience, professional knowledge, and a deep commitment to relationship-based practice.
Through Inclusive Early Learning, I create resources and workshops that help educators build real confidence in supporting every child, not just those who are easy to see. Because inclusion isn’t extra, it's essential.
Inclusive Early Learning pays respect to the Traditional Custodians of the lands where we work, play and live.
